Since 1992, the Vidymed Group has been a Vaud private institution of reference for outpatient care pathways, from general to specialised medicine, with coverage by basic health insurance.

This independence enables the Group to be proactive and continuously invest on the human level, in order to continuously improve services and contribute to the efficiency of care for our patients.

 

Our Management

Our organisation is led by a collegial management team composed of three complementary managers: Ms Alison Hick Duvoisin (Director of Strategy and Development), Mr Didier Mann (Director of Administration and Finance) and Dr Patrick Marquis (Medical Director).

This three-headed governance structure combines different areas of expertise, visions and experiences to ensure a balanced strategy and effective management of our projects.

 

Our Story 

1991 – Vidymed Group Foundation

5 physicians (3 internists-general practitioners, 1 sports physician and one rheumatologist) combined with 3 surgeons partner to create the Vidymed company. Their ambition: to group independent physicians around an emergency center.

1992 – Opening of the Vidy Medical Center

Vidy Medical Center opens in May. It includes:

  • Vidy-Up SA, a medical-surgical emergency center open 365 days a year
  • Vidy-Fit SA, a physiotherapy center
  • Vidy-Ortho SA, an orthopaedic goods shop and workshop
  • Eight medical centers

1999 – La Source Medical Center

The Group opens a second Medical Center in partnership with the Clinique de La Source, with a high-level technical platform (radiology, laboratory).

2014 – Epalinges Medical Center

In March, the Group opens its third Center: the Epalinges Medical Center, located at the Biopôle site, at the “Croisettes” terminus of metro M2.

2019 – Development of specialized services

  • Opening of Paediatric Emergencies at the Vidy Medical Center.
  • Acquisition of Orthopaedics Riedo in Bulle, thus expanding technical orthopaedics expertise.

2023 – Merger of physiotherapy services

Creation of La Source Fitphysio, born from the Vidy-Fit fusion with the La Source Physiotherapy.

2024 – New partnerships and strengthening of outpatient care

  • Opening of the Outpatient Care Centre at the Epalinges Medical Center.
  • Signing of a strategic partnership between the Vidymed Group and the Clinique de La Source.
  • Opening of the Paediatric Outpatient Care Unit in Vidy.

2025 – New projects and expansion of services

  • Opening of the Polyclinic at the Vidy Medical Center.
